Shifting Gears, the Bellingham non-profit dedicated to empowering all women through outdoor recreation and education, is proud to announce the 2024 ‘Sippin’ on Cider’ Festival. The fourth year of Bellingham’s largest celebration of autumn and cider will be held on Saturday, October 19th from 2-7pm at Lost Giant’s Cider Company, proud partners of Shifting Gears. 

The lineup of diverse ciders from across the Pacific Northwest includes Lost Giants Cider Company (Bellingham, WA), Renaissance Orchards (Ferndale, WA), Rootwood Cider (Manson, WA), Greenwood Cider Company (Seattle, WA), Schilling Cider House (Seattle, WA), Tieton Cider Works (Yakima, WA) and hard seltzer from Stone’s Throw Brewery (Bellingham, WA). More cideries will be announced on the Shifting Gears website in the weeks leading up to the event. A selection of non-alcoholic beverages will also be available to purchase from Lost Giants.

In addition to tasting the selection of delicious cideries, attendees can expect to enjoy local music throughout the event, as well as outdoor yard games. Food will be also available for purchase from some of Bellingham’s favorite local food trucks. Attendees are encouraged to participate in the raffle with items from Shifting Gears and their generous partners, and ‘Sippin’ on Cider’ merchandise will be available to buy at the event. A new addition to this year’s event will be the opportunity to purchase a six pack or bottle from the participating cideries.

Early-bird, regular entry tickets are $30 until October 13th and include a 4oz taster glass and eight drink tickets. VIP tickets are $50 until October 13th and include a limited edition ‘Sippin’ on Cider’ 4oz taster glass, 12 drink tickets, Shifting Gears special edition swag and a sticker. Ticket prices will increase by $10 starting October 14th. All proceeds from tickets, raffle and merch sales will support Shifting Gears programs focused on breaking down barriers that stand between women and their outdoor aspirations. 

Tickets go on sale on September 1st. Last year nearly sold out, so Shifting Gears encourages purchasing tickets early for the best prices and to ensure admission. This event is 21+.
